Handmade delicate fine tapered edge round table in solid European Oak table finished in Danish Oil.
The aim with this piece was to produce a very simple, lightweight and elegant piece of furniture. I have tried to achieve this through creating a piece with a clean and delicate design which is still functional. The table top is solid made from solid Oak that has been tapered on the underside to give a fine edge around 3/5mm on the edge. This gives the table a very slim profile and makes it much lighter. It has hand turned slender straight legs that are fixed at a steep angle through the table top to give strength and stability to the table. These features make the table light weight, understated and delicate, it will fit in with many styles and can be used anywhere in the home.
The table is available in a wide range of diameters and heights, can be used as a side table, display table, coffee table and much more.
Like all the pieces I make it has been made by hand with traditional tools to order, I hold no stock and make everything to order. They are hand planed and cabinet scraped to create a smooth surface. Hand cut tenons with contrasting wedges are used to secure the legs into position (large tables with come with removable legs, to reduce the chance of damage). The Oak is FSC certified timber, the natural features vary in each piece of timber which in turn makes each piece individual. If you would like multiple matching pieces please order them at the same time as the timber can very in shade and grain.
Note: peices delivered outside the UK will be sent with removable legs to remove the risk of damage (the table surface will show no fixing and be an uninterrupted solid Oak top, unless requested otherwise).
