Our Name…
Historically a journeyman would have spend their time wandering from one town to town with the aim to gather experience, skills and techniques from master craftsman. This was an important part of their training to become a master craftsman in their own right.
At the Journeyman and Co it’s not just about the journey to create new skills but its the people we meet and the company we keep that all add to becoming a mater craftsman and help produce beautiful work.
Sustainability
We have previously working in large furniture and homeware retailer, that produce vast amounts of generic products and factories all over the to world. To meet a new trend or the potential forecasted sales and that generally get wasted.
At the Journeyman and Co we don’t waste materials by producing large quantities of generic products. We don’t discard timbers and other materials that aren’t visually perfect. Old and new materials have beauty the allows us to create unique pieces every time.
