Scorched round oak table with three turned straight legs finished by burning the surface with a blow torch to give a rich deep black finish

The Piece:
This round table is made from solid European oak top and legs and is made using traditional handmade techniques and tools. It has been hand planed to size, the legs have been turned and secured with tenon joints that have been wedge into position.
Once the piece is finished it has been scorched to the piece to give a rich deep black colour. The burning process brings out the character in grain and texture timber. Once the piece has cooled, the loose ash is removed with a wire brush then given 3 coats of hard wax to seal the surface and give a natural finish.
Environmentally friendly:
Timber - All our timber are FSC certified, we only produce pieces to order to minimise waste and excess.
