Handmade solid European Oak milking stool with four straight turned legs secured into position with contrasting Sapele wedged tenons joints

Custom made milking stool made from solid 25mm thick European Oak boards. This piece is handmade to order and each piece is made by hand by myself. They are made using traditional hand tools and construction methods. First they are planed and squared, the underside edge is rounded off and the top edge is squared. The legs are turned straight and fitted through the top and secured with hand cut tenons wedged into position with Sapele wedges, to give a contrast to the Oak.
The stools are strong and versatile they can be used as a footstool, seat, side tables, plant stands, lamp stands, display tables and many other uses around the home. I normally finish milking stools in Danish oil to bring out the natural grain and protect the surface. I can however finish them in many other finishes such at beeswax, timber stains, lime wax, painted finishes, vanishes and many more. Please contact me with your requirements
