Custom made solid Ash bench with rounded ends, underside and turned straight legs fixed into position with contrasting wedges. The curved ends and edge give the pieces simple and organic look the soft edges makes it a very touchable and visually interesting piece.
This piece is made to order and each is unique in grain and texture. It is made from prime grade Ash planed, jointed and smoothed to a fine finish. The legs have been turned and fixed with a wedge tenon to provide a secure fixing and traditional look.
The benches are 34cm wide and the top is made from 25mm thick Ash and 32mm Ash legs which make it an extremely strong and durable piece of furniture.
The prime grade Ash timber is tough and strong relative to its weight and has good stiffness and hardness. The Ash has a pale yellow, cream colour and can be streaked with browns. The wood is generally straight-grained with a uniform texture, the piece are finished in beeswax to maintain the natural colour of the timber.
