Handmade solid Ash rectangular bench with dowel shoe shelf finished in beeswax to give a soft pale finish. The benches are inspired by the clean simple lines of Scandinavian design. Each piece is handmade my me to order, hand planed and smoothed with a cabinet scraper to give a fine finish. Visible hand cut tenons with contrasting wedges are used to secure the legs and dowels shelf into position.
The stools shown are made from solid Ash, Ash is a very strong timber with a colour that varies from a soft yellow to lighter shades of khaki and cream. The grain has a medium course structure but a soft smooth feel, knots are uncommon.
Benches are 30cm deep as standard
Timber - All our timber are FSC certified, we only produce pieces to order to minimise waste and excess.
