This simple piece was made for a custom project exploring changing furniture. This was part of a range that would be used inside and out, the shingles would progressively change from red/brown with great to silver with age and exposure to the sun light.
It has been is made using a plywood frame on which the cedar shingles are fixed to give the piece the unique look, texture and amazing smell (much like bubble gum). The piece has solid straight square oak legs the hold the whole structure together to give the piece strength. The round seat pad is constructed from a high density foam base with a luxury firm density top for more comfort and and durability, it is fixed to the top using hidden fixings. This is a functional piece of furniture, it is very unique and add a lot of interest to a space.
