Handmade solid Sapele side table with shelf. Sapele is a West African timber that has a rich Mahogany reddish-brown colour. It generally come with interlocking grain and is sometimes wavy. Sapele is comparable to English Oak in
it's durability, strength, stiffness and very durable around the home.
This piece has been a development from the plant stand/round table I currently make, to expand its usefulness around the home. The table like my other pieces they are made from 25mm solid European oak and are are available in various heights and diameters to suit your needs.
The table shown is made from FSC registered Sapele but can be made from many other timbers depending on your preference. They can be made out of one material or combinations to create a unique look. They are all made by hand by myself using traditional hand tools, wedged tenon leg joints and the shelf is doweled into position.
